The Supreme Court will, on Friday, pronounce its judgment on a plea filed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case and subsequent custody. As per the causelist published on the website of the apex court, a bench, headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, will deliver its verdict on July 12.
Polling for Punjab's lone Assembly constituency -- Jalandhar (West) -- began on Wednesday with 15 candidates in the fray for a multi-cornered contest. A total of 1.72 lakh people will cast votes in the by-election till 6 p.m.
