German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in India on Thursday to attend the seventh Intergovernmental Consultations and the 18th Asia Pacific Conference of German Business (APK 2024). Upon landing in Delhi, Scholz was received by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the Union Cabinet's approval of a project to double the railway tracks between Purauna Dham in Sitamarhi district (the birthplace of Goddess Sita) and Ayodhya (the birthplace of Lord Ram).
It is the fifth arrest in the case after a joint team of Gujarat ATS and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a factory in Bagroda Industrial Estate located on the outskirts of Bhopal on October 6. During the operation, two suspects - Amit Prakashchndra Chaturvedi and Sanyal Bane were arrested from the spot.
The Chief Minister stated that the Centre has approved for construction of around 7,660 temporary houses to accommodate people residing in the various relief camps in the state’s nine districts, mostly inhabited by the tribals.
Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel explained that the package comprises Rs 1,419.62 crore in total assistance, including provisions from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). The state government has also allocated additional funds from its budget to address the severity of the losses experienced by farmers.
