24-Year-Old Man Killed Minutes Before Wedding In Telangana

    A man was today killed allegedly by the family of his fiancee minutes before his wedding in Karimnagar district in Telangana.
     
    "Anil, 24, was in a relationship with a girl from here", Karimnagar Assistant Commissioner of Police, J Rama Rao told reporters.
     
    "The two decided to get married today in a temple at LMD Colony, on the outskirts of the city. They reached the temple this afternoon, when the girl's relatives turned up there and hacked him to death with knives," said the official.
     
    Anil's parents had accompanied him to the temple. The mob also attacked his father who sustained injuries, Mr Rao said.
     
    The family took the girl away and fled from the spot, he said, adding the injured was shifted to a government hospital and his condition is stated to be stable.
     
    A case of murder has been registered and investigation is on, he added.
