20-Year-Old Woman's Body With Throat Slit Found In East Delhi

    The body of a 20-year-old woman, with her throat slit, was today found at her male friend's flat in east Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area, police said.
     
    The woman had been missing since last evening, a senior police official said.
     
    Her body was found at her male friend's flat, he said.
     
    After the woman went missing, her family members searched for her and lodged a missing complaint at the New Ashok Nagar police station, the official said.
     
    Her family members went to look for her at friend's flat that was locked from outside. They entered the flat and found the woman covered with blood and her throat slit, he said.
     
    After receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and launched an investigation, the official said.
     
     
    The family members of the woman have alleged that she was killed after being molested by her friend, he said.
     
    Efforts were on to nab the accused as the woman was spotted accompanying him in a CCTV footage, before her disappearance, the official said.
     
    The victim had recently completed her graduation through a distant-learning course. The accused lived a few yards away from her home in E-Block of New Ashok Nagar area, he said.
     
    The accused belonged to Bihar and was untraced. A police team has been sent to his native place to nab him, the official said.
