Jammu, Feb 6 (IANS) At least 16 passengers were injured after a bus overturned in J&K's Jammu district on Tuesday, officials said.

Officials said that a bus coming from Arnia to Jammu went out of the driver’s control and overturned after skidding off the road.

"The accident took place in Kalyana area. Locals and police evacuated the injured passengers to hospital," officials said.

Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sukhchain Singh Gill on Tuesday said that at least 282 drug abusers are currently undergoing de-addiction treatment across the state. Punjab Police has been promoting and creating awareness about section 64-A of the NDPS act, which provides an opportunity to a drug consumer, caught with a few grams of heroin or narcotic powder, for rehabilitation.
