Jammu, Feb 6 (IANS) At least 16 passengers were injured after a bus overturned in J&K's Jammu district on Tuesday, officials said.
Officials said that a bus coming from Arnia to Jammu went out of the driver’s control and overturned after skidding off the road.
"The accident took place in Kalyana area. Locals and police evacuated the injured passengers to hospital," officials said.
The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday said that 21 cases of the new variant JN.1 have been reported from across the country. The source said that 19 cases of the new coronavirus variant has been reported from Goa while one each from Maharashtra and Kerala.

Three back to back earthquakes rocked the Union Territories of Ladakh and J&K on Monday, while no report of casualty or damage to property has been received so far. A Met Department statement said that the first earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale occurred at 3.48 p.m. in Ladakh region with the epicentre in Kargil district. A second earthquake measuring 3.8 on Richter scale again occurred in Ladakh region at 4.01 p.m.
