A 15-year-old girl is in a serious condition in a hospital after she was stabbed 50 times with a scissors early on Thursday morning by an unidentified assailant, police said.
 
The incident took place around 2 a.m. on Thursday when the girl was sleeping in her home in Dhaurera village in Addha region near Vrindavan.
 
Her father Prabhu Dayal told police that a boy from the neighbourhood had been stalking her for a long time. He followed her to school also and often harassed her. Five months ago, the boy had proposed marriage, he alleged.
 
The injured girl was admitted to a private hospital where her condition continues to remain serious.
 
Senior Superintendent of Police Manzil Saini and Circle Officer Anil Kumar Yadav visited the hospital to inquire about her health.
 
Yadav said a case has been registered against the boy Dileep, his brother Kishan and brother-in-law Dinesh.
