13-Year-Old Girl Alleges Kidnap, Gangrape In Rohtak

IANS, 19 May, 2017 12:24 PM
Yet another case of alleged gangrape has surfaced in Rohtak district, which has witnessed two double murders and an alleged gangrape-cum-murder in the recent days.

A 13-year-old girl of Meham subdivision in the district has alleged that she was kidnapped and gangraped by some youths, who took her to Julana township in Jind district and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed the matter.

In her statement recorded here on Friday, the girl, a student of Class VII, maintained that she was returning to her home when two youths riding a motorcycle allegedly kidnapped her, took her to a room built on agricultural fields and raped her.

Certain other youths also joined them, following which she was taken to a hotel in Julana, where she was also threatened with dire consequences if she revealed the matter to her family or informed the police.

DSP Pushpa Khatri said an FIR had been registered regarding the matter and efforts were being made to identify the youths involved in the crime.

“All-out measures are being taken during the investigation of the case in view of its sensitivity. All aspects are being explored to reach the bottom of the matter,” she maintained.
