Twelve citizens were injured in a grenade attack by militants at a Central Reserve Police Force bunker in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Wednesday evening. In a horrific tragedy the grenade missed the target it was intended for and instead the locals were targeted as it exploded on the road and caused them injuries. 

According to a police spokesperson militants tossed a grenade on a CRPF bunker at main market Kakapora in Pulwama.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that terrorists had hurled a grenade upon a bunker of 41 battalion CRPF at main town Kakapora of Pulwama. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the road. In this incident 12 civilians received injuries,” 

The police spokesperson said senior officers reached the place of incident to investigate the matter. Those injured were transported to a hospital in Pulwama for treatment where they are in stable condition. 

The police spokesman said that they have registered a case and the investigation into the terror crime is in progress . “The area is off limits and search in the area is going on,” he said.
