Love at workplace boosts productivity!

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 Jun, 2014 03:25 PM
When employees are at work and love blossoms among them, it is the time when cash registers start ringing and you get down to count the moolah!

No, we are not talking romantic love here but "companionate love" based on warmth affection and connection instead of passion.

According to a fascinating research, love at work is beneficial for productivity.

“The more loved employees feel at work, the more engaged they are with their work,” researchers said.

Employees who perceive greater affection and care from their colleagues actually perform better.

According to the study published in the journal Administrative Science Quarterly, employees who felt they worked in a caring culture showed up to work more often than those who felt they worked in an unloving environment.

The former group also reported higher levels of teamwork and satisfaction.

According to research, high job satisfaction was linked to people who felt they could freely express affection, tenderness, caring and compassion, the study concluded.
