Wedding Story: Harvin & Amen

22 Jan, 2016

    Q: How did you meet?

We met at a friend’s birthday party.

Q: What do you love most about one another?

Harvin:I’m in love with her smile and those beautiful eyes. She is so loving and caring; from the day I met her I knew she would take care of me.

Amen:It’s hard to say, but he’s perfect! So supportive, loving, caring, trustworthy and the list goes on and on.

Q: Could you share your proposal story?

Harvin:Not much of a proposal story, knowing we both are getting married. It was a surprise though for Amen as I took her to Crescent Beach with her engagement ring in mid-April 2014.

Q: Describe your wedding day. What was your favourite moment?

Harvin:My favourite moment was waiting for her to come down the aisle and sit next to me. All I wanted to do was to see how beautiful my wife -to-be was on our wedding day.

Amen:Loving family and friends made this day a very memorable one for me. As I heard that the groom side was here, I got very anxious to see my husband-to-be. I just wanted this day to go by so fast so that I could be a part of his life as soon as I could.

Q: Could you tell us about your reception?

From the decor, dining and dancing, everything went as planned. It was an amazing night with our loved ones, and we had such great fun with our friends and family.

Q: Can you describe your outfits?

Harvin:On the wedding day I wore a gold sherwani with dull gold embroidery paired with a pink turban. For the reception, I wore a custom-made black suit with white detail work which I had ordered from Jalandhar, India.

Amen:On the wedding day, I wore a pink lehenga covered in gold embroidery. For the reception, I wore a blue lehenga which was covered with gold embroidery and with a pop of colour; the dupatta was of hot pink colour.

    Q: Where did you honeymoon?

    We went to Cancún, Mexico.

Q: What are your goals as a couple?

We both want to live our married life as best friends. Knowing we both have each other till the end, we can be successful and build on our future.

Q: What are your favourite quotes?

The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy, it’s all that matters. - Audrey Hepburn

Q: What are the strengths of your marriage?

Understanding, trust and honesty! This helps to grow the relationship stronger and live a happy life.

Q: If you could provide any advice to other married couples, what would it be?

Live, love and laugh! Live your life to the fullest, love with all your heart, and laugh as much as you can.
