Special Paneer Kheer by Chef Tarla Dalal

  • Special Paneer Kheer by Chef Tarla Dalal
A wholesome kheer recipe, elegantly laced with the sweet flavour of cardamoms and topped with mixed nuts. 
 
Preparation Time: 10 mins.
 
Cooking Time: 17 mins.
 
Serves: 4
 
Ingredients
 
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1/2 cup grated paneer
• 1 1/4 cups condensed milk
• 1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
• 3 tbsp chopped nuts like cashews, almonds and pistachios
 
For the Garnish
 
1 tbsp almond and pistachio slivers 
 
Method
 
1. Combine the milk and paneer in a broad non-stick pan and bring to boil, while stirring continuously.
 
2. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring continuously.
 
3. Add the condensed milk and simmer for another 4 to 5 minutes.
 
4. Remove from the flame, add the cardamom powder and mixed nuts and mix well.
 
5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
 
6. Serve chilled garnished with almonds and pistachios.
