Since 2005, the NGO Maitri has worked with over 45,000 individuals on the issues of social and health inequities and public health concerns through education, community outreach, networking, and legal advocacy.
At Yein Udaan, they aim to work on building and enhancing the holistic development of underprivileged children by providing them with both academic and extra-curricular training. They believe that building a skill-set that is independent of academic features will help children grow into confident and self-aware individuals.
Sammaan in English means respect. It is a virtue that every human being deserves to live in this world. This non for profit organization was first established in 2007. The primary objective of the organization was to alleviate the life of rickshaw pullers and road vendors.
The idea behind the organization was to serve the homeless, helpless, destitute, sick persons who are facing a very painful phase of life. That's when Apna Ghar who also runs an ashram, comes in and provides all necessities like treatment, food, clothing, care, and other requirements without any charges and with public support.
One of the main ideologies behind this organization is to protect children using a holistic approach to address pressing issues of children such as child labour, child trafficking, child marriage, child sexual abuse, education, health and nutrition and livelihood for parents.
What everyone believes at Ekal Vidyalaya is that “change is possible and education can be the medium to bring the change in the life of the last man in the last row in the remotest parts of India.”
