Preet was an articling student at NLC since June 2017, with barrister Harpreet Nirwan as her principal. In June 2018, she became an official lawyer. “I became a lawyer to help others. My dad always told me [while] growing up to defend the defenseless, and it stuck with me. Also, I get paid to read, write, talk, think and argue – all things I love doing anyway!” shares Sandhu, who has decided to continue her law journey with NLC in a new role.
Nirwan Law is advancing into multidisciplinary services to meet the growing needs of its clients. Preet is a crucial part of this expansion and will be a Solicitor for the firm. “We are now offering services such as corporate restructuring, shareholder agreements, purchase and sale of commercial and residential properties, mortgages, re-financing, joint venture agreements, and preparing wills, to name a few,” states Preet, further revealing that NLC is also looking to expand its services to other communities beyond the Lower Mainland.
