Making Waves: Jasmine Bhambra

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 31 Mar, 2023
  • Making Waves: Jasmine Bhambra

Meet Jasmine Bhambra, a true force of nature in the Fraser Valley. Jasmine is a shining example of what it means to be a community leader, and a beacon of hope for those looking to make a difference in the world. As a successful real estate agent, grief recovery facilitator, entrepreneur, community activist, and loving mother of four, Bhambra wears many hats, but it is her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact that truly sets her apart.

As a trauma survivor, Jasmine understands the value of resilience, healing, and community support. She turned her own tragic experience, the murder of her sister Manjit, into a passion for supporting others, and her work as a Grief Recovery Facilitator has helped her own healing. Her work in mental health advocacy, food security, and community building has been nothing short of remarkable.

Jasmine’s platform, Live in the Fraser Valley, is a testament to her love for her community. Through Live in the Fraser Valley, Jasmine aims to support local businesses and events and to create community collaborations. Her platform is committed to promoting diversity, highlighting the voices and perspectives of all communities, and building bridges between different cultures and traditions.

Her commitment to creating positive impact extends beyond Live in the Fraser Valley. As a Community Builder for the United Way of BC, Jasmine supports residents to become community champions with United Way’s Local Love Fund to help execute events and programs and ultimately create a healthy, caring, inclusive community.

Jasmine’s passion for creating solution-oriented spaces in the community has led her to become a member of the 5X Private Patrons Club, Board Member of the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association, a Chair for the 55+ BC Games and so much more. Through all her roles, she hopes to inspire and motivate the future generation to become changemakers.

Jasmine is also a public speaker, using her platform to share her message of hope and empowerment with others. She believes that the next generation has the power to create enormous positive change and encourages them to take up space and ask for a seat at the table and if need be, to not be afraid to build their own tables.

With her ripples of positivity, Bhambra is on a mission to create waves of change and build connections that foster a genuine sense of community. She is a true gem and a leader who inspires us all to become better versions of ourselves.
