For many, a car is almost like their second home. Comfort, smoothness and easy availability are key features most expected from this second home. British luxury automobile maker, Rolls-Royce, has officially released its latest luxury SUV, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, aimed at customers seeking an adventurous and enriching experience. “We knew we had to offer our clients what they couldn’t find in the SUV market,” Torsten Müller-Ötvös, chief executive officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, was quoted in the official press release. “They do not accept limitations or compromises in their lives. They are the new pioneers, and for them it’s about their sense of adventure and daring in how they live their experiences. This approach to life demands a motor car that can go-anywhere in ultimate luxury and style – Rolls-Royce style. Hence Cullinan.”

The news of Cullinan’s release is two-fold for Vancouverites as not only do Rolls-Royce lovers have a new luxury car to explore but they can do that right here in the city. In May, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Vancouver, part of OpenRoad Auto Group, held the official grand opening of the brand’s new Vancouver showroom – Canada’s first stand-alone Rolls-Royce retail facility where Cullinan made its debut. Vancouver is the first Canadian city to host a new Rolls-Royce model debut. “There was a significant demand in this market for a luxury SUV. The Rolls-Royce brand is very popular in Vancouver and there is a large number of consumers with a desire to purchase Rolls-Royce products,” points out Aly Jiwani, area general manager at OpenRoad Auto Group Ltd, and specifically the general manager of the Rolls-Royce dealership in Vancouver. Clearly, the Rolls-Royce executives took notice and used this opportunity to their advantage. They have extended this release to satisfy consumer demands while also driving engagement in a burgeoning Vancouver market for luxury vehicles.

The significant staple feature of Cullinan is the ability for luxurious off-roading. The drivetrain system used on other Rolls-Royce vehicles is also applicable for the Cullinan on and off the road. With their new double-wishbone front axle and 5-link rear axle, the car is very agile and the driver will have good control of the vehicle as the four-wheel drive also contributes to the driving experience. “They truly took the best measures to create a high-quality product of modern design that still possesses the trademark luxury characteristics of all Rolls-Royce vehicles,” Jiwani emphasizes about Cullinan.

Cullinan is named after the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever to be discovered which now resides in the British Crown Jewels. The 6.75 litre twin-turbo V12 Rolls-Royce engine delivers 563bhp/420kW and 850Nm/627lb-ft of torque to the all-new Rolls-Royce All-Wheel Drive. A four-wheel steering system provides never-before-seen handling. Located within the vehicle is the “Everywhere” button. A simple push of this button transforms the car into a luxury off-roading machine and puts its special powers on display, giving the driver the promised ‘Rolls-Royce Magic Carpet Ride.’ A prominent feature that really makes its impact for off-roading is the electronically controlled shock absorber adjustment system. This uses an air compression system that pushes wheels down when it senses the tires losing traction, to keep the car grounded for maximum safety. The four-wheel steering system for the SUV also helps for stability and manoeuvrability. Never before has there been a “three-box” SUV but Cullinan has revolutionized the game; inside, passengers are separated from the back luggage compartment with a sleek glass partition wall.

Cullinan is the perfect luxury vehicle for families who enjoy the ample space and signature interior design that makes all Rolls-Royce vehicles unique. The interior includes the high-quality, exclusive Northern European leather that Rolls-Royce has been boasting for years. The rear seats are also customizable, in that you can have lounge seats more practical for families or individual seats to suit every type of rider. Some other features include panoramic and helicopter camera views for complete visibility, collision and lane warnings, latest navigation and entertainment systems, WiFi hotspot, and a top-of-its-class high-resolution heads-up display. There features, and many more, stamp Cullinan as the most advanced SUV till date.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is a premium SUV that carries all the qualities of the brand’s other models along with modern, contemporary improvements. Their competitors in the luxury SUV market are literally left in the dust as the off-roading abilities of Cullinan are unmatched. With Cullinan, Rolls-Royce once again leaves a strong first impression which has luxury car buyers desperate to get their hands on this exceptional product.

It’s not by coincidence that many police forces in North America choose the Charger to be in their fleets. Dodge calls this year’s revision a “full-body” makeover – inspired by a certain 1969 predecessor –  involving a new hood, new fenders, new front and rear lighting, the list goes on and on.

Although General Motors is trying to skew younger these days – as evidenced by recent releases like the sporty ATS Coupe – the opulent XTS is classic Cadillac: large and in-charge.

    2015 TOYOTA CAMRY XSE V6

After testing a car, I always ask myself if I could live with the car, would I buy this car, and is it fun to drive. In the case of the Camry it is yes in all categories. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed all the aspects of the Camry as it does a lot of things well.

First thing you see opening the door of the Beetle is the interesting two tone cloth and leatherette seats. The checked beige/brown cloth is interesting; during the time I had the car, people's feeling were mixed as to its appearance
