How long have you been associated with Nissan, and what initially drew you to the brand?

I have been in the automotive industry for over 34 years and have worked with Nissan/Infiniti for over 12 years. I opened up a new state-of-the-art Infiniti dealership in Langley, where we showcased the incredible Infiniti brand. From there, I moved over to the Nissan brand in Port Coquitlam. I was intrigued by Nissan's innovative approach of launching vehicles ahead of their time and by their long history of sports cars and stylish SUVs. Nissan has been a worldwide brand for a long time, and I was happy to join their team.

What is the most popular electric vehicle (EV) from Nissan, and what features make it stand out among competitors?

For years, the Nissan Leaf has been our most popular electric vehicle, but recently, the Nissan Ariya SUV has taken over as our number one-selling electric vehicle. With its sleek design and long range, the Ariya has been a very popular choice among our consumers.

How has customer interest in electric vehicles evolved recently, and how has Nissan adapted to this trend?

Consumer interest in electric vehicles is quite high. These clients are highly educated on all aspects of "electrification." Nissan ensures our sales representatives are highly trained in electric cars, and our dealership has highly trained individuals who can answer all "ev" related questions.

Which model is a best-seller Among Nissan's traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, and why do you think it appeals to customers?

The Nissan Rogue is easily our best-selling gas-powered vehicle. It is very versatile, elegant, and fuel-efficient. The new look, enhanced with its new turbo engine, makes the Rogue popular for young families and everyone looking for a mid-size, easy-to-drive SUV.

What advice would you give someone interested in buying a car?

Purchasing a vehicle should be fun. Do your homework online and then visit the dealership to make sure the vehicle fits your needs on a daily basis. Make sure you purchase a vehicle that has all the comforts you are looking for. We spend a lot of time in our vehicles, so we should make sure that our purchase is the right one. A reputable dealership will always stand by what they sell.

What’s better than a Mercedes-Benz wagon? Why, an off-road version naturally. The 2022 E 450 4MATIC All-Terrain is the vehicle we didn’t know we needed, offered as part of the refresh a couple of years back. And it’s pretty darn cool.

The cockpit is still driver-focused, with some pretty premium appointments including a hand-stitched leather wrap on the centre console and padded knee bolsters, and aluminum door handles and trim. The only cheap-looking part was the plastic paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Most noticeable at the front is a new nose section with black trim surrounding the centre air intake. Full LED lighting featuring the Porsche Dynamic Light System, which automatically bends the beam into a corner for better visibility, is now standard across the lineup as are the Sport Design style wing mirrors.

Built upon the TNGA-K platform, the slim LED headlamps and full-width LED taillight bar, sloping roof and large 19-inch multi-spoke “super chrome” two-tone alloy wheels on the Limited grade Darpan evaluated make for quite a handsome product, actually. At 4,740 millimetres long the size is just right. Not too big or small.

Though smallish in appearance, the inside is quite roomy. Rear seat legroom is decent —— due to a slim seat back design utilizing ultra-light “giga-steel” in its construction — and the cargo area can accommodate 690 litres of stuff when the second row is upright, or 1,422 litres when folded down.
