  • Wedding Story - Priscilla & Roy
Q: How did you meet?

Pricilla: We met back in 2009 at a Halloween boat cruise costume party and then reconnected during the 2010 Olympics

Q: What do you love most about one another?

Roy: I love how Pricilla shows me new things and helps me experience life in ways I never did. She brings the outgoing side of me and makes me see the world in a whole different way.
Pricilla: I love how Roy makes me a better person and gives me so much happiness.

Q: Please share your proposal story?

Pricilla: Roy and I had plans to watch a movie on the day it happened but plans changed when I was handed a note from my brother. The note stated to follow steps and that’s when a private escalade picked me up from my house. I was taken to the Olympic cauldron (a symbol of when we met) then I was escorted to the Vancouver seaplane terminal where Roy had proposed. We boarded a private seaplane to Horseshoe Bay to the boathouse where we had our first Valentine's day date.

Q: What was your favourite moment at the wedding?

Pricilla: We had a grand traditional Hindu morning wedding with a vision of having everything red and Aladdin theme.
Roy: My favourite moment was when I first saw Pricilla walk down the aisle

Q: Tell us about your reception?

Pricilla: We had a formal reception all planned by the bride and groom with good food, great entertainment and a never ending dance floor. Our fish centerpieces, DIY details down to the candy bar were a hit!

Q: Can you describe your outfits?

Pricilla: I always envisioned to have a traditional red lehnga. My lehnga was accompanied with custom made jewellery to match my antique vintage embroidery. For the reception I had a custom made lehnga- purple and silver with velvet and a plain raw silk blouse with a full length detailed skirt.
Roy: Wedding: I wore a custom traditional cream colored achkan with hints of red stones and details to match Pricilla’s lehnga. Let's just say I was fit to look like Aladdin. I wore a Grey Vera Wang suit with a Louis Vuitton tie for reception

Q: Where did you honeymoon?

Pricilla: Montego Bay Jamaica at Secret Wild Orchid Resort.

Q: What are your goals as a couple?

Pricilla & Roy : Our goals are to travel and to grow in our career and start a family in the future

Q: What are the strengths of your marriage?

Pricilla & Roy : We are best friends therefore we stick together with whatever life throws at us.

Q: If you could provide any advice to other married couples, what would it be?

Pricilla & Roy :To work together as a couple, remember to stay positive and communication is very important. We believe couples should be on the same page and make decisions as one and never to give up on the love exchanged and to work through all the good and bad together.
