Crème de la Crème grand wedding showcase returns

  • Crème de la Crème grand wedding showcase returns

Vancouver’s preeminent wedding show, Crème de la Crème Grand Wedding Showcase, marks a highly-anticipated return on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Vancouver’s “Castle in the City” Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (900 West Georgia Street). From 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., guests are treated to wedding day style, splendor, and inspiration with opulent tablescapes, creative floral designs, delectable sweet and savoury food tastings, photoshoots, and a beautifully choreographed haute couture-style fashion show. More than 60 local artisans and vendors will be highlighted.

CountDown Event’s Soha Lavin originally founded the pioneering wedding show 16 years ago, and created a worldwide trend now synonymous in event planning - marrying artistry and celebration through ballet and live musical performances.

“During our inaugural year, we wanted to make a statement and show the industry what the world of weddings infused with artistry would look like. We were the first to introduce ballerinas during a fashion show - a first in the world of weddings. Live art like ballet and music is beautiful, it is memorable,” says Lavin, who created the wedding event in 2004 and is founder and principal planner of CountDown Events Planning & Design. “People weren’t sure at first, but it was a big hit, and something we’ve continued to do. Creating awe-inspiring moments that create trends is why we wanted to bring back Crème de la Crème this year.”

Lavin reintroduces the boutique feel of her original Crème de la Crème this year. Every experience will be curated and there will be a limited number of tickets available to allow each and every guest to visit and speak with all the vendors directly.

In addition, Lavin will unveil the upcoming trends in the industry, featuring a mix of classic favourites and new modern twists. For example, a new take on the west coast enchanted garden, European-style aesthetics, and bold colours with Asian-influences.

Then, indulge in some sweets handcrafted by skilled pastry chefs from Joconde Patisserie and Le Gateau Bakeshop.

Florals

Experience the top trends in floral arrangements and displays by some of Vancouver’s most talented, including Flower Factory and Tala Florist.

Decor

Crème de la Crème was the first to incorporate signature table designs in the industry. A collaboration of decor and florals will serve as the ultimate inspiration for wedding designs for engaged couples.

Jewelry

Local artisans, such as award-winning jewelry designer Elsa Corsi, will showcase the latest in bridal accessories and offer advice on the best jewelry to pair with specific bridal gown styles.

Brides attending the show will be treated to extra pampering, including mini treatments from Skoah, as well as receive a Crème de la Crème gift bag.

“Our industry is very tight knit here in Vancouver, and this past year has shown the passion and resilience of our community,” adds Lavin. “We thank everyone for their amazing support and look forward to meeting all our engaged couples and new guests in February.”

Other stunning featured bridal designers will include: Punit Balana, Aisha Rao, and Shyamal & Bhumika from House of Raina; and Monique Llhulier, Berta, Vera Wang, Galia Lahav, Ines Disanto, and Rivini from Bisou Bridal.

Early bird tickets are $35 per person (while quantities last) and available at www.cremedelcreme.ca. Regular price tickets online are $50 and $70 at the door (first come first served).
