Croatia is Big News

  • Croatia is Big News
In need of some ideas for your next vacation? How about zip-lining at 40 miles per hour, taking your pet to a dog beach bar, enjoying the so-called “Croshimi“ (Croatian sashimi), or repairing your broken heart in a museum? Whether you are a Croatia newbie or an Adriatic travel expert, the country never ceases to surprise with its amazing offers. Starting today, information on these highlights is bundled on “Croatia Feed” – a landing page with inspiring articles and images using the hashtag #CroatiaFeeds that are meant to encourage travelers to consider Croatia as a perfect destination for their next holidays.

The idea of the content-based campaign in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was delivered by The ZOO, Google's creative think tank for brands and agencies, in partnership with BBDO, a leading global advertising agency network. The ZOO team collaborates with brands and their agencies to push the boundaries of creativity, innovation and technology.

So what it is all about? You are a passionate cyclist and have always wanted to visit Kvarner, an excellent biking destination like Tenerife? You are single and would like to know how truffles and cheese can enhance your flirting approach? Or you just want to show off during the next quiz night and need to know where the most winners of the Olympics live? Then grab your laptop, mobile phone or tablet and start browsing Croatia Feeds.

The goal of the online campaign launched by Croatian National Tourist Board is to increase the number of tourists to Croatia, which reached a record number last year with 14 million travelers visiting the young and vibrant country. In 2015, there were more than 314,000 tourist arrivals from the United States with more than 898,000 overnight stays.

The “Croatia Feed” campaign is supported by digital campaign banners across digital platforms and is running on Google Search and Google Display Network, with additional PR activities in German speaking markets.

Stretching along the Adriatic Sea, just a stone’s throw from Central Europe, Croatia is a country defined by a rich cultural legacy. Today, history perfectly combines with a youthful spirit and vibrant energy that prove irresistible to those seeking diversity. Breath-taking natural beauty, endless coastlines, diverse gastronomy, adventure, sports and wellness, can be enjoyed all year round. Whether exploring the old city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, island-hopping around the Split archipelago, truffle hunting in Istria, paragliding across the Plitvice Lakes, delving into Zagreb’s streets and hidden passages, birdwatching in Kopacki rit, partying the night away at Zrce beach in Novalja or taking time out with the family on Zlatni Rat beach, there truly is something for everyone in Croatia.
