Fall in Vancouver is an ideal time to spend in nature and try some off-season camping. But if you’re not a fan of roughing it in the wilderness in a tent and sleeping bag, the good news is that you don’t have to. Glamping or ‘glamourous camping’ lets you experience the great outdoors in style and comfort. This means you can immerse yourself in nature yet still enjoy a good comfy bed, running water, and a fully equipped kitchen. The best part? You often get to stay in a unique location that makes the experience all the more memorable. Check out these four unique glamping getaways in BC.

Stay in an Tree Sphere

Spirit Spheres on Vancouver Island lets you experience the coastal rainforest in an extremely unique way. You’ll be staying in a suspended fiberglass sphere, nestled among the trees. This magical forest accommodation is one-of-kind and truly a work of art. Each sphere can accommodate two people, and is equipped inside with a bed, a kitchenette and dining area, with an elegant outhouse bathroom nearby. An adult-only facility, you need to be 16+ to stay here and pets are not permitted, which makes it an ideal romantic getaway. Sleep among the trees and take in the tranquil surroundings.

Stay in a Geodesic Dome

If you’re looking for a memorable weekend, head out to Tofino for a spot of luxury camping. You’ll stay in one of six geodesic domes, which are located right on the waterfront. Each dome comes equipped with a queen sized bed, an ensuite bathroom and shower, an equipped kitchenette, a small dining table and chairs, a propane fireplace, and locally sourced coffee, tea, and milk. Enjoy the stunning views, sunsets, and wildlife from the privacy of your own cedar deck. One thing to keep in mind is that the Wildpod experience is for adult couples only, children and pets are not allowed.

Stay in a Yurt

Way Point Resort offers a fun way to experience the natural beauty of the west coast. You can enjoy pristine, private beaches surrounded by acres of forest in Ucluelet in a yurt. The yurts come in different sizes, and can accommodate families up to five people. Each waterfront yurt has a private beach entrance, a gas fireplace, a wrap around cedar deck and chairs to enjoy some BBQ and the stunning views. These are both children and pet-friendly, and would make for an unforgettable family trip.

Stay in an Airstream

Woods on Pender offers a unique luxury camping experience where you enjoy the forest and rustic wilderness from the comfort of a beautiful airstream. Each airstream has its own fire pit, propane BBQ, double hammock, and Adriondack chairs to lounge in while you pop burgers on the grill or makes s’mores on the fire. The airstreams also come with their own two-person cedar hot tub where you can soak after a long day. Inside, you’ll find comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and local coffee. Woods on Pender is kid-friendly, and they have nine airstreams to choose from, which accommodate parties of different sizes.
