So, read on to know all about the hottest trends that shall reign in 2023, and stay ahead of the fashion curve this year.

Bold And Vivacious Hues

2023 is about vibrancy. And designers across the globe have made it clear that the bold and vibrant colour trend from last year is here to stay in 2023 as well. Expect to see a mix of bold colours such as purple, red or neon shades. Shades of pink will be ruling and should be your go-to colour if you wish to make a statement. Popular trending pieces like super-sized hoodies, bold coats, oversized blazers, dresses etc., in loud colours will dominate the fashion universe in 2023. So, hug your bright clothes dearly this year as well.

Sustainable Fashion

With more and more people becoming eco-conscious, sustainable fashion, undoubtedly, is taking centre stage this year. Several fashion houses are shifting their focus towards not only using sustainable materials but also curating lasting styles. This has led to the rise of vegan materials, such as faux leather and faux suede, as well as the use of sustainable fabrics such as linen, bamboo, and hemp. Brands such as Timberland and Patagonia have already taken steps in this direction, with Patagonia even going as far as to ban the use of animal fabrics in their products. With consumers becoming more and more aware of the importance of sustainable fashion materials, sustainable fashion will likely be the biggest fashion trend in 2023. So, own your fashion with responsibility this year.

Baggy Jeans

It’s time to bid goodbye to skinny denim and welcome 2023 with baggy jeans. From streetwear brands to high-end designers, everyone has jumped onto the baggy jeans trend. The baggy jeans are already hyped so much that they will likely become a staple in your wardrobe in 2023.

Oversized Blazers

With oversized shoulders, exaggerated sleeves and new silhouettes, oversized power blazers have become a fashion favourite of late and this popular trend from last year has effortlessly glided into 2023 as well. The supersized blazer first caught everyone’s eye on runways like Balenciaga, Khaite, and The Row, and ever since has made it as an official wardrobe staple. Extremely versatile, an oversized blazer can be paired with classic jeans, coordinating trousers or even with dresses to create head-turning formal to fun casual looks.

Sheer

Talk about Sheer joy in the fashion industry and almost every top fashion brand from Miu Miu and Valentino to Bottega and Cecilie Bahnsen to Susan Fang and Sinead O'Dwyer is enjoying their brush with this risqué yet classic fabric. Sheer fabric has been having its moment this year and it is simply impossible to escape the sheer trend this year. Whether it is in the form of chic skirts and bottoms, fitted fancy tops or mesh dresses – Sheer not only adds drama but is also chic. No wonder, it is ruling the fashion circuit this year.

Low-rise

High-rises are taking a step back and making way for the 90s favourite low-rise this year. Be it jeans or suiting or skirts or shorts — low-rise is a must-have in your wardrobe. Pair the low-rise with crop tops and flaunt your midriff or work the relaxed look with low-rise denim and oversized t-shirts, sweaters, or hoodies. No matter how you style them, with low-rise you surely will remain on top of your fashion game this year.

Utility Wear

Comfort-loving fashion-savvy folks can rejoice as their beloved cargo pants are still going to run strong in 2023 as well. Nothing spells elegance and comfort better than utility clothing and for 2023 designers have further enhanced the look with sophisticated utility jackets and stylized cargo pants. Major fashion houses like Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton have explored the utility trend on runways and given us a ton of utility inspiration for 2023.

Bubble Skirts

Bubble skirts were extremely popular in the 1950s, with many celebrities including Marilyn Monroe being huge fans of the trend. But with the emerging fashion trends, the bubble skirts trend soon fell out. However, come 2023 and one can see the resurgence of this bubbly trend. While bubble skirts are typically knee length, this year they come in many different variations, such as knee length and mini length, fun hemlines, and in a pop of eye-catching colours. Talk of a grand return and bubble skirts have nailed it!

Acid Green

Acid green is a vibrant and bold colour that is making a huge comeback in 2023. Originally popular in the '70s, this colour has recently made a re-entry in the form of athleisure and streetwear. It's the perfect colour to pair with bolder prints and make a style statement. Acid green also works great with fabrics such as knits and silks.

Asymmetric Hems

Asymmetric hems are another key fashion trend that is only set to grow in popularity this year. Fun and experimental, this trend is perfect for adventurous fashionistas. Best suited for casual attires, asymmetric hems can be seen on everyday pieces like dresses, joggers, skirts or even denim.

Shimmer & Shine

2023 is the time to shine! From Valentino and Gucci to Balenciaga and Michael Kors, all top designers have gone all the way in the sparkle department, infusing high-shine metallics and glitter into a majority of their silhouettes created for this season. Be it head-to-toe looks or mere details, shimmer and sparkle can be seen everywhere this year. Right from gold, silver or coloured versions shine can be seen on unlikely items like jeans, blazers, shorts, pantsuits, and of course, on an endless number of jaw-dropping dresses this season.

Corsets

Corsets are a new love. Celebrities and Gen Z are already lapping up this hottest trend of 2023 and we think no one should be left behind in embracing this uber-cool trend. Extremely chic and versatile, a corset can be styled with minimalistic midi skirts, low-rise pants, cargo pants, baggy jeans or simply along with your fav pair of denim.

Drop Waist Dresses

The popular 80s trend has made a triumphant comeback in 2023 and looking at the way all major fashion brands have fallen for it; one thing is for certain, this trend is here for the long haul. Perfect for a day outing as well as evening wear, drop waist dresses are comfortable and chic and a must-have in your wardrobe this season.
