  • Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor’s Serenade Is A Timeless Ode To Modern Brides

Designed for the modern-day brides, Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor's latest collection, "Serenade | The Odyssey of Love," beautifully blends classic elegance with modern flair.

Label Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor, renowned for its high-end couture that seamlessly blends classic elegance with contemporary flair since its inception in 2002, has recently unveiled yet another exquisite collection — Serenade | The Odyssey of Love. A beautiful fusion of old-world charm and modern allure, the collection is specifically designed for the discerning modern-day bride, who celebrates femininity without sacrificing her individuality.

The Serenade | The Odyssey of Love collection is a testament to the talented couturier Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor’s dedication to weaving unique perspectives with traditional craftsmanship and creating pieces which are a harmonious blend of past and present.

“The collection meets my vision of simplicity at its best,” Tamanna explains. She elaborates, “I have always envisioned my bride as the 'Classic meets elegant Contemporary' and designed this collection around my vision of a bride. Weddings today are far from traditional settings. They are taking place in historical buildings, castles, barns, beaches, backyards... So, I was inspired to work around my bride and these destinations. The content from this campaign was so ethereal, so beautiful, and soft… I could only imagine long flowy veils on beautiful balconies with instrumental music in the background. The name Serenade hence came along.”

Tamanna, who has dressed Bollywood divas like Kiara Advani, Rakul Preet, Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh, Bhumi Pednekar, Sara Ali Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Kajol and Dia Mirza, has been passionate about fashion since childhood. “My love for clothing and fashion started very early in life. My dad was in the garment industry, so I had easy access to fabrics and embroideries, and I always tried to design clothes. Now, it's been 20 amazing years since I started my label and I was just born to make clothes,” reflects Tamanna.

Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor’s creations have always epitomized timeless elegance, distinguished by her signature style which combines classic old-world charm with intricate embroideries done on easy cuts, regardless of the ongoing trends.

The designer advises, “I would like to tell all brides-to-be and their families that it doesn't matter what is trending, what is in vogue—wear what works best for you and what is true to your personality and you will wear it confidently.”

Crafted with love, the elegant Serenade | The Odyssey Of Love resonates with everything that the label Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor represents. Continuing her exploration of heritage embroideries, Tamanna has masterfully integrated impeccable craftsmanship into this collection. “All embroideries in Serenade are handmade with immense love and thought. We have used the most beautiful zardozi techniques and exceptional craftsmanship in these pieces. And of course, I have subtly incorporated my most loved elements—The mirrors,” Tamanna explains as she delves into the design process and the embroidery techniques employed to curate Serenade | The Odyssey Of Love. She adds, “The USP is and has always been the beauty of our embroideries in all our collections which are so thoughtfully sampled when we plan them. We do everything with love.”

The collection is further elevated by the seamless colour palette that transitions from dreamy pastels to ivory. “All my favourite pastels and most loved ivories and creams dominate this collection,” informs Tamanna.

From breathtakingly beautiful bridal lehengas adorned with delicate hand embroidery to stunning gharara sets, each piece in this collection is not only a masterpiece but also fuss-free, subtle, elegant and most of all designed to target the aspirations of modern women. “We have mostly classic timeless silhouettes. Silk lehengas, our bestselling styles in ghararas and shararas, ombre sarees, and some contemporary styles for the bride who likes it quite modern,” Tamanna talks about silhouettes in the collection.

One of the most appealing aspects of Label Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor is its price point. Tamanna states, “Price points are again our USP. Value for money is what we have always attempted to give and continue to do so. These gorgeous bridal lehengas in this collection are all under INR 400,000.”

Serenade | The Odyssey of Love is available for purchase on the label Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor’s official website —  www.tamannapunjabikapoor.com— or through some of the established online portals. The pieces from the collection can also be ordered at several multi-designer stores internationally.
