She loves her pair of jeans longer than partners: Survey

  • She loves her pair of jeans longer than partners: Survey
There are variety of jeans that are a must for every woman's wardrobe and a new research has revealed that a woman's favourite denim pair is way more lovable than her partner.

The survey, conducted by brand Grundig, unveiled that one in 20 women would ditch their partner before they get rid of a favourite pair of jeans, reports femalefirst.co.in.

With the average lifespan of a favourite pair of jeans being four years and four months, the study shows that almost a third of women have had a longer relationship with their jeans than with a partner.

The relationship between British women and their jeans runs deep as one in five women say that despite no longer fitting or being on trend, they are unable to throw their favourite pair away. One in 12 women admits they love a pair so much that they are holding on to them to pass on to their children.

The average women's wardrobe is made up of 10 pairs of jeans, wearing just three of those on a regular basis. For one in three women, at least one pair has never been worn post purchase. The average denim collection also includes at least one pair of designer jeans to the value of 107 pounds.

When it comes to caring for jeans, women will do everything they can to maintain their favourite pair for as long as possible.

One in 10 women wash their jeans just once every three to six months in order to keep the shape and colour they fell in love with. When it comes to quirkier cleaning rituals, one in every twenty-five women will clean their jeans with vinegar or pop them in the freezer to help keep them looking brand new.

Teresa Arbuckle, marketing director of Grundig said: “We always knew that the relationship between a woman and her jeans was important so we created products to help preserve our denim for as long as possible.

From the special 20-minute 'steam refresh' function to MultiSense technology that recognises the weight and type of fabric being washed, our machines care about your jeans just as much as you do. ”
