PARIS - Parisian fashion house Nina Ricci has announced designer Guillaume Henry as its new creative director, following the departure of Peter Copping last month.
Critical darling Henry came to prominence as the Carven house designer, since 2009, and was seen to give the house a new creative edge.
The 35-year-old designer, who's French, will present his first ready-to-wear show in March.
Ralph Tolenado, president of the Nina Ricci house owner Puig spoke Tuesday of his "great ambitions" for the brand under the stewardship of Henry, whom he called a "major designer."
Nina Ricci, a house known for its nostalgic femininity, was founded by Turin-born Maria "Nina" Ricci and her son, Robert, in Paris in 1932.
