With an eye for exquisite craftsmanship, and the deliberation to provide the finest ethnic designs to women in Canada, Jeenu Kailey has established Lavanny Boutique. A name synonymous with glamour, contemporary and exclusivity, Lavanny has carved a reputation of trust from its clientele in a short time span. This can be contributed to the company's mission, which is to work closely on every piece while catering to each client’s individual preference of detail on their unique Lavanny pieces. "When you purchase a piece from me, I will ensure that I will not retail the exact same piece to somebody else. I want everyone to have their own unique Lavanny piece that suits them" says Kailey, founder and owner at Lavanny Boutique. "Exclusivity is what we bring out and cater to the clients."

Lavanny encapsulates precisely what it means... beautiful. Here you can expect to find designs with a modern flair depicting the vibrant heritage of South Asian culture. The rich customs and traditions are imbibed with the current trends and styles, making every piece at Lavanny a personification of elegance and beauty. The boutique offers a wide variety of apparel serving a diverse spectrum of designs for the sophisticated female, while offering variety to its clients.

With a motto to excel in their customer service, Kailey renders extra attention towards each and every outfit delivered at Lavanny. Every single ensemble is designed by Kailey and the outfits are manufactured in India with her team of highly-skilled kaarigars (artisans). These are experts in the industry with an exceptional mastery in their skill to give that contemporary cut envisioned by

Kailey. Once the kaarigars have added the embroidery to the garment, it is shipped to Lavanny and then sent for alterations before the final step, which is of course the sale.

Currently, the boutique operates virtually, retailing consignment pieces and custom orders online. "We regularly conduct photoshoots and upload photos on social media to keep people updated about the latest designs that are available at Lavanny." Using social media as a platform Lavanny seeks to provide its clients with ensembles that are anything but ordinary. Kailey mentions that she also manages a home-based showroom in Surrey but owing to Lavanny's active social media presence, all of the brand's sales come through orders and enquiries made online.

Born and raised in Surrey, Kailey explains that she was always a 'fashionista'. Although she recently transformed her passion into business, she was already designing dresses for herself and her family from a young age. "Everybody in my family has always come to me for fashion advice on what to wear and to discuss what the current trends are. With a lot of family weddings I started designing my own outfits when I had time. I would sketch out what I wanted and get it made in India. Occasionally, I would even do it for my family out of pure passion for designing. "At her own wedding, Kailey designed dresses for her own bridesmaids, that beautifully reflected culture and tradition. Needless to say, the bridesmaids' suits were distinguished from the quintessential trends, and were praised for Kailey’s exceptional design.

This young designer graduated from Royal Roads University with a Bachelor of Commerce. She started working with the City of Surrey in recreation at the age of 16. Her desire to pursue a career in personal training landed her as a district manager after several years of hard work and dedication. But it was only recently that she decided to put aside her successful corporate job and take a leap towards pursuing her passion in fashion, and that came out in the form of Lavanny.

A recent accomplishment for Lavanny was the success of a show conducted in Edmonton that showcased the latest South Asian couture. From the latest trends in South Asian fashion to the traditional couture making a flashy comeback, Lavanny carries designs that embody culture.
In an attempt to maintain the highest standards of quality necessitated by its customer profile, Lavanny employs the best of fabric and embellishments in the manufacturing process of its outfits.

These truly exquisite crafted ensembles are designed for women who wish to adorn themselves in the contemporary classics that have defined the
Indian beauty. "We believe every girl should look like a celebrity and feel her best when she shows up at her next event and that’s what we strive to do! We put you in outfits that will make you shine and feel fabulous."

In a short time span, Lavanny has transformed into a source that not only offers exclusive women's ethnic designs but also maintains the highest quality and authenticity. Every cut, design and texture incorporated into the apparel is chosen to produce an outfit that stands out and brings out the client's distinctiveness. Trust and relationship with the customer is an aspect that Kailey highlights as a significant feature in the brand's mission. "Our biggest service is customer service. I want to make sure you are happy before you leave," Kailey says while outlining customer service as a major factor that separates Lavanny from others. "For me it is not  about selling you an outfit. It has to fit your style,  personality and make you feel beautiful. This isn't just about making money; for me, it is a passion."

Explaining her long-term vision, Kailey says that she "would want to see Lavanny as an online store and eventually have showrooms in different cities across Canada." She also excitedly highlights her plans to start a bridal line shortly. She points out that she will be designing many outfits for the ladies in her family this year for her sister's upcoming destination wedding, including elegant attire for the bridesmaids.

What makes Lavanny unique is the team's passion for championing and nurturing the traditional Indian craftsmanship, here in Canada. From the iconic lehngas to the stunning salwar-kameez and anarkalis, Lavanny is committed to celebrating India's rich heritage of incredible workmanship with an elegant contemporary aesthetics.
