Get ready for Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week

Petrina D'Souza, 04 Apr, 2017 12:00 AM
  • Get ready for Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week
Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week 2017, organized by well-known designer duo Parvesh and Jai and Bharti Art Jewellers, will be dazzled with a spectacular eruption of South Asian and Bollywood fashion. The event takes place on April 7 to 9 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, East Building: Ballroom A.

Sanjay Parekh, owner of Bharti Art Jewellers, is proud to be associated with this exciting event. “We have been in the jewellery business for more then 40 years in Vancouver and now in Surrey, and we see [this as] an opportunity to share our experiences and knowledge to the next generations of brides and grooms.

Being in a multicultural city, the Bridal Fashion Week Magazine will bridge the gap of all ethnic trends,” he says. The three-day event will start off with the Reception Gala along with a fashion show featuring the kids of BC Children’s Hospital.

Bharti Art Jewellers will be presenting their collection on the runway on April 8 and will have a booth displaying their latest collection of gold and diamond jewellery. “Bharti Art Jewellers is known for custom handmade jewellery and we have expanded into custom diamond jewellery where we can design your vision into a 3D image/wax model. Our collection and services will be shared with all attendees at the Bridal Fashion Week,” adds Parekh.

Besides the jewellery show, Parekh reveals that the jewellery house will also be giving away a Mardini wedding band to a groom who will be selected from the online bride and groom registration.

Commenting on the bridal week, Parekh says the event will have a mix of South Asian and western designers on the ramp. “The fashion week will open with a show by Parvesh & Jai and Children’s Hospital Foundation and a preview show by all the participating designers. On Saturday, we will have fashion shows by Bharti Art Jewellers, Mayyur Girotra, Royal Fables, Satya Paul, and Armaan DBG.

On Sunday, we will have the Little Pink Dress showcase on the ramp, with a finale by Charu Parashar,” says Parekh giving a timeline of the event.

Additionally, he points out that Harper’s Bazzar Bride is going to be a huge attraction this year where they will be representing top 10 designers from India, namely Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, and Anita Dongre, among others.
