The popular clothing and accessories brand ‘GAP’ has caught much attention after featuring Waris Ahluwalia – a prominent designer and actor - in its 2013 ad campaign. Indian-American Ahluwalia, is making heads turn in the latest GAP ad which also features artist and filmmaker Quentin Jones.
 
The South Asian community is taking pride in this San Francisco-based retailer’s latest move and complimenting them for bringing a multicultural aspect upfront.
 
Ahluwalia moved to New York with his family at the age of five. His company ‘House of Waris’ is a renowned name in the fashion industry and takes pride in its unique and fine designs.
 
Recently Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra was featured in the holiday ad campaign of GUESS. It seems the international fashion industry is exploring diverse cultures with these kind of endeavours and the audience especially the South Asian community is all the more appreciating them.
