Fruit Temptations or Color Code

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 08 Feb, 2014 02:23 AM
  • Fruit Temptations or Color Code
Dare to embrace the world of makeup and beauty with bold punches of color in a sheer texture that quenches fruit temptation. Good-bye to dark saturated hues at least for the season, when long warm days soaring with dazzling rays of sunshine call for a tropical escape.

Your color code is coral. Think of fruitalitious shades of cheerful cherries, sweet tangerines and perfect peaches. Give yourself a brightening Vitamin C boost inside out with weather friendly textures supported by colors from the heaven.

Skin of Color
Summer is the time of year when we, no matter if we are olive or dark skinned, opt for sun kissed glowing skin by digging into our cosmetic pouches. What will we find? Bronzers of course, which for taking it serious as a must do thing in our makeup regime. Creating skin of color is sexy, but truly depends on choosing the right shade of color enhancers.

Keep it under control and hesitate to overdo, as bright daylight is not forgiving. Bring your freshest face forward. Conceal where needed. Hydrate, prime and shy away from heavy foundations. Give your skin an illusion of a soft focus filtered look. This season is all about sheer beauty, for a quick fix, blend your hydrating gel moisturizer with your regular foundation or simply use a tinted moisturizer preferably with a sunscreen.

Get the glow, but lose the oily, dewy skin effect by priming your skin with an oil free primer. A must have all year round.
Make sure to warm up the complexion, as the flirty palette looks best on a canvas with a soft wash of bronzer.

It’s Sheer!
Cheek hues play a big role in color co-ordinate fashion in makeup. Surprisingly, it’s sheer. Gel stains can be used for that Victorian era inspired effect on the apples of the cheeks in berry tones or a baby doll cheek effect in peaches and oranges.

Say au revoir to pink on cheeks, instead indulge yourself in the season’s most promising hues for light to olive to dusky skin tones, in pale apricots and corals with a hint of peach. The right texture brings out the true beauty. Analyze your skin type before a major shift from your usual makeup textures. Consider color first than texture as sheer and stain is always beautiful, but not enough sometimes.

Fruit Punch
A blend of berries- color washes across the lid in weightless textures, yet not so powdery and vague will blend your fashion approach right into the runway crowd. Eyes so bright with a color palette from neutrals to teal bring on any hue that takes your senses right into a paradise island. Fresh, fruity and floral. The biggest makeup trend is a pop of color. Try gold with orange, peach with coca or a pale accent of pina-colada with a serenity of aqua. If you are bold enough, grab a color liner or mascara in teal or plum.

A neutral color wardrobe sure needs fruit punch. So why not get the attention to be the focal point. Bright shadows are in full bloom. Keep in mind bright should be light too.

Play safe with plums across the lid and creating contours and with a little more intensity, use lilac to highlight the inner corner of the eyes and under the brow bone. Dare to wear a rose toned shadow on the lower lash line finishing the look with blueberry colored pencil liner and a soft black mascara.

If you are one of those who are addicted to black liners on the top lash line, it’s time to show the colorful fresh and young side of you. The clichéd liner look is an all time favorite; just soften the noir by dabbing a berry or plum shadow on top giving an antioxidant feel to it. Muted gold reflects the royal side in you. Sweep a lemon yellow shimmery shadow on the lid with a plum brown liner in the inner rim of the eyes and a matte vanilla highlight, two coats of black brown mascara will the bring the look together.

Ice cream sorbet colors brings with them all the freshness and fun qualities, so bring them into your shadow palette.

Secret code…
Our color code for the season is a must have coral. Introduction to the trendiest lip colors is easy, sit back and enjoy all the summer fruit colors. From pomegranate to passion fruit, create a cocktail that compliments most skin tones. Coral is the color of fashion from the past decades and is making an entrance again in the present.

As the most popular and in demand hue, it goes well with every skin tone and looks good in any texture. Lips and nails painted in coral scores a glossy full effect as it is mod and sensual. The pout is recalled with passion as a new focal point this year. Go without borders that is – skip lining the lips.

Shimmery, shiny and glossy are the secret ingredients for a coral colored lip. Fill in the lips with a nude lip liner if your lips are dark or too raspberry toned to get the true coral impact. Stain the lips for a new talk of the town look. Gel or liquid stains are long lasting and thus perfect for not so made up look.

A soft dust of shimmer adds a little charisma for the outdoor evening parties. Finishing touches follows; don’t forget well-manicured hands with painted nails preferably in a color that matches your lip color. Pairing bright eyes with bright lips is definitely not a good idea. Dress up your makeup color palette when going for neutral color attire and dress it down if draping yourself with those bold bright and beautiful floras. Keep in mind the rule of makeup is either/or.
