Darpan News Desk, 19 Oct, 2019 12:59 AM

Progressively rooted, the 'Rabari' collection showcases comfortable silhouettes in Punit’s signature prints in natural dyes including bandhej, stripes and chequered prints.

Well-known Indian designer Punit Balana unveils his new festive line Rabari, inspired by the Rabari woman known for their diligent embroidered textiles, creativity, aesthetic and identity. Progressively rooted, the new collection showcases comfortable silhouettes in Punit’s signature prints in natural dyes including bandhej, stripes and chequered prints.

Movement and proportion are the core of the design philosophy. Each and every ensemble like the fun skirts and top has been designed to be moved, danced and celebrated in; perfect for both brides and bridesmaid for mehendi or sangeet. Dominated by black and very unique hues of dry hena and butter cup, Rabari, the new festive line is modestly extravagant perfect for the upcoming festivities like Diwali.

Beautiful embroidery of amla, mirrorwork, and dori work enhances the collection showcasing Balana’s aesthetic which is a return to the fundamentals of material, print motif and embroidery, and yet a progression of form and silhouette.
