  • Soon, 3D-printed bras for a comfy experience
Wearing a wrong size bra could lead to neck, back and shoulder pain. Not with the 3D printed ones though.

A firm called Joyfit, a brainchild of Qian Jin from the Columbia University in New York, will soon offer 3D-printed, customised bras using a mobile app.

The user first needs to download the app and film a video of her upper torso.

The company guarantees all videos will remain confidential and secure.

The user will then use Joyfit's interactive application to check out different sizes, media reports said.

After finding a good fit, the user can upload the video following which the system comes up with the perfect dimensions for the silicone within the bra.

The bra, costing nearly $100, could then be 3D printed and sent home, reports added.

"Joyfit tailormade bras are able to enhance the breast curve according to the customer's shape profile as well as cater to her request with regard to padding, lifting and coverage levels," Jin said in a statement.
