Louis Vuitton offers two new fragrances: On the Beach and Étoile Filante for Mother's Day

  • Louis Vuitton offers two new fragrances: On the Beach and Étoile Filante for Mother's Day

This Mother’s Day, Louis Vuitton offers two new fragrances: On the Beach and Étoile Filante. Created by the House’s Master Perfumer Jacques Belletrud in Grasse, France, the 2021 fragrances embody Louis Vuitton’s Art of Travel through luxurious and exotic ingredient combinations.

On the Beach captures the emotions of a sunny day at the beach. Featuring notes of yuzu, neroli, and aromatic herbs, it balances the lightness of a citrus with the depth of florals. At the same time, it connects to the ambiance of the West Coast – a territory that is free, passionate, and wildly creative.

Contemporary multi-media artist Alex Israel designed the bottle, packaging, and accessories for On the Beach using his hometown, Los Angeles, as his muse. The resulting aesthetic reflects the city’s contrasts and eclectic architecture, where a blend of Hollywood fantasy, technological vanguardism, and old-world European and Hispanic inflections create an extraordinary panorama. A new surfboard and made-to-order fragrance trunk complete this summertime escape.

Étoile Filante (“Shooting Star”) features notes of osmanthus – a tiny flower adored by Belletrud since he was a child – as well as sun-ripened strawberry, and jasmine from Grasse obtained by an exclusive extraction method.

This radiance attains its zenith upon contact with an essence of magnolia from China of exceptional quality, also exclusive to the House, creating a perfect illustration of floral freshness.
