  • Review: Dine Out Vancouver’s Brunch Crawl
Dine Out Vancouver 2017 this year had a great variety of events to offer. Right from the Vancouver World Chef Exchange and a Cocktail Masterclass to a Perfect Pizza Cooking Class and Brunch Crawl around the city. Exciting events offering a memorable culinary experience.

I got the privilege to attend one of the Brunch Crawls at Robson Street and West End. It was a snowy day but it didn’t dampen our spirits. Appetizing food can change any mood and make any meal delicious.

In one word, the experience was ‘heavenly.’ Presented by Vancouver Foodster, this creative event got us trying some tasty, innovative brunch options at some fantastic restaurants on Robson Street. Restaurants included were Papparoti, De Dutch Pannekoek House, Ritual and Commodity Juicery collab, Styo Dessert, and PuntoPasta.

From buns and waffles to smoothies and pizza, the menu comprised of a range of dishes – each better than the other. My personal favourite – the Strawberry and whip cream Pannekoeken (pancake) at De Dutch Pannekoek House and the Ham and Cheese Croissant Stuffed Waffle at Styo Dessert. Pannekoeken is an authentic Dutch style pancake which is much larger and thinner than the North American version, but slightly thicker than a crepe. These two common breakfast delights were simply yummy and can definitely tempt an individual to a fulfilled breakfast every morning. I’m not a smoothie fan, but I did enjoy the smoothies included on the menu. It also was a great way to try out some restaurants I have never tried before in the area. I will definitely visit them again to try out the other items on their menu.

Overall the Brunch Crawl is a brilliant concept to get individuals to enjoy a satisfying brunch with a range of mouth-watering options to get you going through the day.

Sapphire Bistro & Banquet

Sapphire Bistro & Banquet
Sapphire Bistro is a vision crafted by Gary Sandhu and Gurminder Behniwal to bring forward the forgotten experience – the taste we have left thousands of miles behind us. The food is prepared keeping the same old tradition of fresh ingredients in mind that we all grew up with. After visiting many hotels in and around town, the lack of fresh food or good service encouraged Sandhu and Behniwal to open their own restaurant.
