Starting Saturday, April 21, 1886 will treat locals and visitors alike, to the resort's newest dining experience: impeccably prepared all-you-can-eat dim sum, dished up in an exquisite dining environment that pays homage to authentic culinary traditions of China.
Situated on the third floor of Parq Vancouver, the city's newest urban entertainment resort, the award-winning restaurant will launch a decadent dim sum menu available every weekend; available on Saturdays and Sundays between 10.30am and 2.30pm. The assortment of dishes includes favourites such as shrimp dumplings, shu mai, barbecued pork buns and seafood congee, as well as intriguing variations ranging from duck and mashed taro puff to deep-fried durian pastry. Guests can sample as much of the menu as they like for just $38.88 per person.
"Dim sum is my favourite dish to enjoy with family and friends and we are so excited to bring our favourite foods to 1886, for Vancouver to enjoy," says Elizabeth Blau, founder and CEO of Blau + Associates, which operates the restaurant. "Vancouver is known for offering some of the best Chinese cuisine outside of China and our dim sum experience is great value for the price point. The launch of 1886's 'all you can eat' dim sum menu comes shortly after the restaurant won a Critic's Choice Award, at the Chinese Restaurant Awards 2018, for its Szechuan Style Braised BC Sturgeon Fillet in Spicy Chili, Clay Pot dish. The restaurant has also launched a number of additions to its extended menu, including a seasonal set menu, for $42 per person, a daily peking duck tasting menu evening dim sum available from 5pm, and a lounge bar menu making it the perfect place for diners to enjoy a family style dinner.
