This February, slow down and savour the finer things in life: fresh-from-the-earth food, naturalist wines and good company. Burdock & Co invites lovers, friends and family to gather together at two intimate dining events with prix fixe menus that each bring something special to the table.
On Valentine's Day, lovebirds can cozy up over candlelight and toast to delicious food as they dive into a multi-course dinner crafted by Chef Andrea Carlson and her talented culinary team. The artfully plated, vegetable-forward share plates shine a spotlight on B.C.'s rich stores of sustainable seafood, organic produce and ethically-raised meats, and curated wine pairings promise to fuel hours of intimate conversation. The restaurant's charm and décor offer a beautifully relaxed atmosphere that sets the mood for a very special evening.
Burdock & Co's Valentine's Day menu is priced at $99 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Early diners can reserve a first seating for 6/6:30pm, and those looking to while away the evening are invited to book the second seating at 8/8:30pm. Limited tickets for both seatings can be purchased online at Eventbrite or by calling 604.879.0077.
Guests who miss Cupid's arrow can join the Burdock & Co team for a second memorable night, this one celebrating the savoury decadence of local B.C. truffles. On February 19, the restaurant will host a five-course Truffle Dinner in partnership with the Truffle Association of British Columbia (TABC) to celebrate these culinary diamonds and the foragers who cultivate them. B.C. hosts the Northern-most range of naturally growing Oregon species of truffles; only a few local foraging teams and their talented truffle dogs know where to find them and are bringing them straight to the table at Burdock & Co. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards supporting this modest local industry.
Chefs Lucais Syme of Cinara and Robert Belcham of Campagnolo will join Andrea in the kitchen to craft this not-to-be-missed collaboration of incredible flavours. The event is one of several across the province that the TABC will hold this month. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.
