Malhi, who spent a portion of her childhood in the United Kingdom and India, is a host of the cookery show ‘Cooking Isn’t Rocket Science,’ running on a lifestyle channel in India. She has also made appearances in numerous programs in Britain, where she acquainted Brits with the intricacies of Indian cooking. As an author of four cookbooks that are sold globally, this talented chef has strived to simplify the art of cooking, along with educating her audience about what they are consuming. Talking about what she feels is the best part of her profession, Malhi says, “What I love most about my profession is meeting all kinds of people of all ages and from all walks of life, who share the common passion of food. I like to help people get back to basics and if someone comes back to me and says they’ve cooked one of my recipes and it has worked, then my job is done and it also gives me great joy and satisfaction.”
