Women in Stem workshop

    Are you a self identified woman interested in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field? Learn more about which field is right for you by meeting professionals and students in STEM fields! Women in STEM fields will be providing insight and mentorship about their post secondary journeys such as searching for scholarships and research grant opportunities; discovering flexible and relevant jobs; and learning tips and tricks from other women in STEM! 
     
    Empower The Future is a non-profit organization which connects students in post-secondary education with high school students to encourage personal, academic and professional growth. The organization will be hosting a series of workshops to help encourage young women to consider education and careers in STEM fields. The first workshop is on October 13th from 4:30 to 6:30.
     
    The career cafe on November 2nd will include tons of students and professionals in STEM fields and non-traditional careers for women. I will provide a list of mentors at the event once confirmed. 
     
    There are three informational workshops and a Career Cafe where you have coffee converse with professionals and students in STEM fields. It’s a FREE event hosted by Empower The Future. Come join in for an evening of free food, prizes, and valuable information.
