Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) takes back to school shopping seriously. The university is hosting a pop-up open house at Guildford Town Centre, upstairs in the upper level atrium (between Starbucks and the Gap) on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 during mall hours.
“Our community partnership with Guildford Town Centre has created new opportunities for us to engage with students and parents. It’s very exciting for us to connect with so many people in the community,” said Joanne Saunders, executive director of marketing and recruitment at KPU.
The free, family-friendly event allows prospective students and mall patrons to speak directly with KPU staff and faculty, learning more about Canada’s only polytechnic university. Interested individuals can meet with representatives from the Future Students’ Office throughout the day for drop-in sessions—a casual, informal one-on-one appointment to learn more about university programs, admission requirements, the application process, financial assistance, career prospects, and more.
The pop-up open house will also feature interactive displays and activities from faculties and departments at KPU, and great prizes. Prospective students can enter to win a Guildford Town Centre gift basket with a $50 gift card to the shopping centre, one of five, $100 Visa gift cards, or a tuition waiver worth $500.
“Collaborating with KPU has continued to be a very beneficial partnership,” said Peggy Howard, general manager at Guildford Town Centre. “It’s an excellent example of what happens when different regional partners work together.”
The KPU pop-up open house is happening on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Guildford Town Centre (10355-152nd St., Surrey).
