Ascend Canada proudly recognizes corporate leaders at 3rd Annual Leadership Awards Gala

Ritz-Carlton Hotel04 Apr '16 @ 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

Ascend Canada, the premier organization for members of the PanAsian business community in Canada, will celebrate exceptional individuals at its third annual Leadership Awards Gala on April 4, 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto.

Winners will be recognized for their personal dedication, career achievement and contributions to the community in the Manulife Mentor of the Year, RBC Rising Star and TD Executive of the Year award categories.

Kelvin Tran, President of Ascend Canada and SVP and Chief Auditor of TD Bank Group says, “The gala promises to be an exciting evening that goes well beyond a celebration of remarkable individuals. It’s about promoting diversity in business — in people and in leadership. The business community has made some inroads, but there are many more steps to take. Ascend Canada raises much-needed awareness to this issue by supporting the career growth of its PanAsian members and working with organizations to further their inclusion efforts.”

The gala will feature a keynote address by Frank Vettese, Managing Partner and Chief Executive of Deloitte Canada, who will share lessons and insight from his professional journey. The evening will also include a fireside chat with Alka Gautum, President/CEO of RGA, and Blaik Kirby, President of Bell Mobility.

Tran adds, “Our goal at Ascend Canada is to enhance the presence, influence and visibility of current and future Pan-Asian business leaders in Canada. The upcoming gala is a powerful platform that recognizes and celebrates the talented and remarkable individuals who support and exemplify true Pan-Asian leadership.”
