Canyon Lights – a Winter Festival - has caught the attention of the world. Named one of the nine most spectacular holiday light displays in the world in 2017 by CNN Travel, this local tradition returns to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Thursday, November 22, 2018. Bundle up, gather the family and prepare to be amazed. This is not your ordinary lights display!
Lighting transforms Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s rainforest and canyon. Capilano River flows in currents of blue, green and violet. Giant orbs suspended from the night sky invoke a celestial sensation. Douglas-firs, each with over 8,000 lights extending 200 feet (60m) up their tree trunk, reach for the sky.
Canyon Lights has quickly become one of the most popular winter activities in Vancouver with its family friendly activities, live musical entertainment and outdoor park experiences. And due to popular demand, dates have been extended until January 27, 2019.
Proceeds from admissions are donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund for fire and burn education in schools throughout British Columbia. To date, Canyon Lights has donated over $301,000 to this worthy program.
