Vancouver Art Gallery Launches Five Days of Family FUSE

Vancouver Art Gallery 25 Mar '19 to 29 Mar '19 @ 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

For those seeking ways to inspire and ignite curiosity in kids over spring break, the Vancouver Art Gallery has you covered. The Gallery’s Family FUSE will for the first time expand to five fun-filled days running March 25 to 29, 12—4 PM. Themed The Everyday in Different Ways, this special Family FUSE is packed with programs connecting children and youth to interdisciplinary practices through a variety arts-focused activities.

Inspired by the Gallery’s exhibitions: French Moderns: Monet to Matisse 1850-1950, Affinities: Canadian Artists in France, as well as Mowry Baden and Displacement, this Spring Break edition of Family FUSE will investigate how modern and contemporary artworks transform our understanding of everyday life. To find the answers, each day participants will be invited to explore an array of media, processes and ideas at their fingertips as they embark on their own exciting adventures in art-making.

The Gallery is set to become a space of exploration and active collaboration with workshop-based activities presented by local artists and art educators.
