Touchstone Theatre presents C’mon, Angie!

Firehall Arts Centre01 Jun '18 to 09 Jun '18 @ 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Touchstone Theatre presents C’mon, Angie!
The morning after a one-night stand, questions of consent lead to a highly charged confrontation. For Reed, it was a sexual fantasy played out in real time. For Angie, it was a violation. The details of their night together unravel as they struggle to unpack the truth of what happened.

This world premiere Flying Start production showcases the emerging talent of local playwright Amy Lee Lavoie. She is an award-winning playwright and a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada’s Playwriting Program. Amy’s first play, Rabbit Rabbit, received its premiere production with Infinitheatre, earning Amy two MECCA’s for Best Text and the Revelation Award. Amy Lee was a Canada Council Playwright-in-Residence at Factory Theatre, and her play in development, Stopheart, premiered on the main stage in 2013. In 2014, Amy Lee was the Head Digital Writer for the CBC drama Strange Empire, which won a Gracie Award for Best Website in recognition of its interactive storytelling. Most recently, Amy Lee worked with Pi Theatre to create Genetic Drift and her play, My Tom, received a workshop production at Railtown Actors Studio.
