The Vancouver Art Gallery presents FUSE: Resonances

Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street22 Nov '19 @ 7:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Vancouver’s favourite, after-dark art party returns with FUSE: Resonances on Friday, November 22. This edition of FUSE will transform the Vancouver Art Gallery’s spaces into THE place for art, music and live performance in the city. In dialogue with the Gallery’s fall exhibitions, FUSE: Resonances will awaken guests to a new consciousness around the radical presence of the body, language and sound. Participating artists look to performance as a tool through which to consider an undoing of past, a positioning of the present, and visions of a collective future.

Curated by Simranpreet Anand and Stephanie Bokenfohr, this FUSE will include performances by local and visiting artists Raven Chacon, Elisa Harkins, Ralph Escamillan, FakeKnot, Mike Bourscheid and Kapwatids (Kimmortal, Elysse Cloma and Joshua Ongcol).

The FUSE x CURRENT Art Bar will feature music/DJ performances by Nancy Lee (aka Which Nancy), Katayoon Yousefbigloo, Dae Shields (aka Ital Blue) of Afro Van Connect, with Buni Kor and Vuyo, with visuals and installation by Moniker Press, Colt Darling, Zandi Dandizette and Kyla Yin (aka Kyinskies).
