The City of Surrey is hosting a free public event as part of its bid to be named the “Intelligent Community of the Year 2016” by New York-based international think-tank, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF).
On May 4, Mayor Linda Hepner will welcome Louis Zacharilla, visiting judge and one of the founders of the global Intelligent Community movement, to deliver a keynote presentation about the “Rise of the Intelligent Community” and how cities and regions can build economic prosperity while meeting social challenges in an age of fast-paced technological change. This keynote is part of Mr. Zacharilla’s two-day evaluation visit of Surrey as a “Top 7 Intelligent Community of the Year” finalist.
