Dance enthusiasts of all ages and from across the Lower Mainland will take the Bell Performing Arts Centre by storm on July 9th, 2016 , 6 pm with Summer Funk – Rise Of The Champions, presented by Shiamak Davar International (Vancouver).
Summer Funk is a celebratory culmination of a unique twelve-week recreational dance workshop offered by Shiamak's instructors in North Vancouver, Vancouver, Downtown, Richmond, Surrey, and Burnaby. This year’s revelry brings together a talented group of dance devotees, ages four to sixty-four, to share a memorable selection of Shiamak’s trademark Bollywood Jazz songs and dance .
This year’s Summer Funk theme is “Rise Of The Champions”. This gives students an opportunity to help build team spirit, train, and work as a team to design creative costumes and properties, and finally compete as a on stage at the Summer Funk show!
“Over the years, I’ve seen Vancouver’s interest in Bollywood Jazz grow tremendously,” says Shiamak Davar, Founder and Artistic Director of Shiamak Davar International.
