The holiday heart-warmer returns. George Bailey (Bob Frazer) has a lovely wife (Jennifer Lines) and family, and performs countless good deeds for friends and townsfolk in Bedford Falls. Yet all that seems to count for naught when he faces financial adversity and a nemesis (Alec Willows). At George’s most woeful moment, his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Bernard Cuffling), swoops in to remind him that faith, hope, and family make life truly wonderful.
After a three year hiatus, the Arts Club’s much-loved production of It’s a Wonderful Life is back on the Granville Island Stage. Artistic Managing Director, Bill Millerd, says, “Our production of this iconic seasonal work has been one of our most popular shows since it first premiered in 2007. The inventive adaptation by Philip Grecian, and the inspired conception from director Dean Paul Gibson and his creative team, have produced a holiday favourite seen by nearly 80,000 Arts Club audience members.”
The core cast of this holiday classic are joined by newcomers Ted Cole (Rieneman/Gowar), Irene Karas Loeper (Tilly), and young actors Alistair C.W. Leong (Young Harry Baily), Taylor Dianne Robinson (Young Mary Bailey), Toby Verchere (Young George Bailey), and Sylvie Odette Thomas (Zuzu Bailey).
