Good Day and Good Night play for little ones

The Bee Stage at Carousel Theatre for Young People06 Jun '17 to 18 Jun '17 @ 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
  • Good Day and Good Night play for little ones
The beloved Bee Stage is back with a brand new play for the littlest theatre-goers, newborn to age three. A gentle, interactive show for the very young, Good Day and Good Night introduces infants, toddlers and their caregivers to storytelling and live music in an intimate drama experience that allows them to enjoy theatre on their own terms.

Carousel Theatre for Young People’s popular Bee Stage returns for its third year with an original script by local favourites Kayla Dunbar and Dustin Freeland and original music by CJ McGillivray, reunited after appearing together in the Bee Stage’s inaugural production, Dot & Ziggy, in 2015.

Theatre for the very young (TVY) is a new movement in theatre for young audiences (TYA) circles gaining traction across the globe. It strives to create gently stimulating theatre experiences for babies and toddlers and focuses on performance that invites audiences to crawl, laugh, clap, and activate all five senses in a new way and in a space made just for them.

Good Day and Good Night is a new play from Carousel Theatre for Young People’s Bee Stage. The Sun is confident and popular. The Moon is shy and easily overlooked. One day, the Sun meets the Moon, and the two set off to explore each other’s worlds. At first it seems they are too different to ever be friends, but through song, some animal friends, and a little help from the audience, they learn to accept each other’s differences and become friends. They also learn that when they work together they make an excellent team.
