Celebrity hair and makeup artists Mindy Bansal and Ina Mander of Girlfriendz Studio 7, will be hosting an exclusive Makeup Master Class with renowned makeup artist Samer Khouzami on December 1st and 2nd at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. This master class is the only Canadian stop on Khouzami’s Ultimate Beauty Tour which has covered locations in South America, the United States, Australia, Europe and several Middle Eastern cities.
Samer Khouzami grew up in a small village in Lebanon, but was always drawn to fashion, beauty, and art. His creative streak and love for faces pushed him in the direction of makeup. Today he has a cult-like following throughout the world (and nearly 200,000 fans on Facebook, as well as a million plus followers on Instagram), all inspired by his signature classic eye, impeccable beauty techniques and contouring skills. Khouzami is currently touring the world teaching his master class on makeup and inspiring students to pursue their passions.
When Khouzami was asked what he’d like to tell the students at his upcoming makeup master class he said, “I would like to tell them Believe in yourself. Have confidence in talent. Never stop learning and I am very excited to meet them at the beautiful city Vancouver.”
The team at Girlfriendz Studio 7 was so inspired by the work of Khouzami and his passion to educate and inspire the makeup artist community, that they decided to reach out to him earlier this year about coming to Vancouver. Mindy and Ina both believe that knowledge is power, and the more you know, the more you grow. It is a big part of the GS7 mandate and mission to give back to the community and help other artists grow so this felt like the perfect collaboration.
Student who attend the Makeup Master Class can expect to learn; contouring and highlighting techniques and several ways and techniques for applying makeup, what to use for each face, and what suits each kind of faces.
