    Experience fun and free public programming at the Burnaby Art Gallery, the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and the Burnaby Village Museum.

    BAG on a Bike
    Location: Deer Lake Park
    Keep an eye out for the Burnaby Art Gallery’s BAG on a Bike cruising around Deer Lake Park. Engage in a hands-on printmaking activity. Weather dependent.

    Printmaking
    Location: Burnaby Art Gallery
    Explore the Burnaby Art Gallery’s exhibition, Saints, Sinners and Souvenirs: Italian Masterworks on Paper, a show featuring Italian classical drawings and prints. Join experienced printmakers in the Fireside Room for a hands-on printmaking activity. Space is limited. Please call 604-297-4422 to register.

    Visual Arts Exhibition: Instructor Invitational
    The walls of the Centre Aisle Gallery and Encores Café will be transformed by an intriguing array of artwork created by the talented Shadbolt Visual Arts Instructors.

    Ceramic Arts Exhibition
    Spectacular artwork created by Shadbolt’s own Ceramic arts instructors will be displayed in plinths throughout the Shadbolt Atrium and ceramic pieces showcasing the rich surfaces produced in the wood fired kiln will fill the Galleria cases.

    The Kiln Station Viewing
    Drop by The Kiln Station in Deer Lake Park to view ceramic artists stoking the wood-fired “train” kiln with guest artist Tara Wilson, a visiting potter from Montana.

    The Steam Plant Open House
    Visit the small heritage building in Deer Lake Park which was home to resident artist Heather Lippold this summer. Get a glimpse of the works created over the six week residency with the Shadbolt Centre’s resident artist program.

    10am-4pm
    En Plein Air in Century Gardens
    View visual artist in residence Susan Falk as she creates works of art in the beautiful outdoor surroundings of Deer Lake Park and Century Gardens. Feel free to join in or just observe as she captures her surroundings in natural light.

    Curator's Tour
