Best selling author, Rupi Kaur performing in Vancouver

Orpheum Theatre08 Oct '17 @ 8:00 PM - 9:15 PM
  • Best selling author, Rupi Kaur performing in Vancouver
The Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration (VIBC) Society is proud to present An Evening with Rupi Kaur on November 8th at the Orpheum Theatre.

On the heels of a sold-out show earlier in June, the New York Times bestselling author and performer is returning to launch her new book, “the sun and her flowers”. Her first book, “milk and honey” is a worldwide bestseller, having sold over 2 million copies and heading the New York Times Bestsellers List for over 75 weeks. It has since been translated into over thirty languages.

Her long-awaited second collection of poetry, “the sun and her flowers”, is releasing on October 3rd at Chapters/Indigo bookstore. Copies will also be available onsite at the show. This book is about the journey of growth and healing as well as ancestry and honouring one’s roots.

Rupi Kaur is also a master of the stage. Her performances are marriages of poetry, art and theatre. They’re sold-out affairs attended by her adoring fans. As a part of her North American Tour, she’ll be in Vancouver on Wednesday, November 8th at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Vancouver. Rupi has a large and devoted following here in British Columbia and we’re expecting the evening to be one of love, empowerment and renewal.
